OMG! Can't get enough of this place!
The chicken is moist and tender with explosive flavor! The Lomo Saltado is ALWAYS on point!
I am even more excited that they deliver to Monrovia via UberEats! -

Found this place via Yelp and I was really excited to try it. I enjoy Peruvian food and have patronized various eateries locally and beyond. This particular place has a small menu so your meal options are limited. That being said I played safe and ordered their version of Lomo Saltado. Upon appearance the plate appeared typical for what I'm used to: steamed rice, tomato, red onion, fries, and meat. I couldn't tell what cut of meat it was...it was over cooked, salty, and chewy. The sauce was heavy with garlic which was tolerable with the first couple of bites but then became too much. I love garlic but in this case it just took away from the balance of flavors. I did not finish my food...and at this price point it was a shame. So I packed it up to go; but truth be told I threw it away once I got home. My car was left with the residual smell of garlic.
Service was basic. Not friendly...at one point asked the older gentleman taking orders for a to-go box. He told me to wait because he was tending to a customer who couldn't decide on his order. Mind you the to-go containers where immediately behind him to his right and there was no one else in the place. I waited another 5 minutes and he finally signaled me that he had the to go box. Did not offer a courtesy "thank you for your patience" or "sorry to have kept you waiting".
One star for ease of parking. -

This is a great little chicken spot in the decidedly non-touristy part of Pasadena. The menu features Peruvian dishes focusing on chicken, but dabbling in traditional and innovative ingredients that make this place worth several trips just to try new things.
On my recent visit, I ordered my meal to go-- ordered a half chicken with two sides ... went with the plantains and beans. The chicken was flavorful and moist, but a little on the small side... maybe I'm just used to Costco's monster roasted birds. This place's chicken seasoning is amazing, and yes, Doctor Ramos, sorry-- I ate the skin like it was required by law.
The beans and plantains were the right mix of savory and sweet, with that rich flavor and love in the cooking you could taste.
With an amazing menu, I can't wait to go back and try some other things... just don't count on sitting inside if there's more than 4 parties in there... cause that's all the tables they have! -

Yummmmm
So good. I hadn't eaten Peruvian in ages and discovered this spot via yelp. We were in town for the day from another county. Service was quick and inexpensive. I had the pollo saltado and the flavor was on point! Super good. I love salt and garlic. It was enough for some left overs as well which I was able to finish. Inside was clean enough. Customer service was nothing special but kind as well. -

Don't sleep on this place, probably the best meals in town. I ordered the 1/2 chicken with fires and plantain. This definitely my go to meal when I'm in town. You won't be disappointed.
